PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Robert brings 40 years of experience as a business owner and has personally experienced many of the highs and lows involved in selling a business. He completed his law degree so he could be better suited to advise business owners on the many situations encountered during the life of their business, including exiting. Robert served as an attorney and tax litigator serving professionals and business owners for the last 28 years. Robert is a licensed Real Estate and Mortgage professional and recognized expert and consultant in the transfer and merger & acquisition of businesses by the RCIIQ, Réseau des courtiers immobiliers indépendants du Québec (Quebec Independent Real Estate Brokers Association) representing all of the more than 6 000 independent Real Estate Brokers of the Province of Quebec. Robert received his B.A. with a concentration in Economics and his LL.B. from University of Montreal. He earned his Accredited Mortgage Professional designation from CAAMP, now Mortgage Professionals Canada, in 2010 as well as his Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) in 2015. In recent years he also served as guarantor for a Licensed Building Contractor after evaluation of his professional competencies in all the fields of qualification by the governing authority. Recipient of several scholarships and recognition awards, either as a lawyer, real estate broker, mortgage broker and life underwriter, Mr. Marchand also holds nearly twenty-five degrees or certificates awarded by universities and colleges, the Quebec Bar Association, the CPA Professional Body, the Quebec Construction Association, APCHQ (another provincial construction association), the Canadian Association of accredited mortgage Professionals and the IBBA. Robert is also an active member of several Professional Bodies as well as provincial, Canadian and International Professional Organisations including the prestigious Association de Planification Fiscale et Financière.
