Daniel is a seasoned professional with a strong foundation in engineering, business, and entrepreneurship. Born and raised in Burnaby, British Columbia, Daniel has a deep-rooted connection to the local community.
Daniel’s early years were marked by a love for hockey, which he pursued at a provincial level prior to university. Having parents in the fields of education and engineering sparked Daniel’s interest in STEM subjects, which led to a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
Combining this technical training with a lifelong fascination for the ocean, Daniel spent nearly 15 years working in the marine industry. The last 12 of those years were dedicated to engineering consulting for a global clientele, advising on multi-million dollar construction activities for both the government and private sector. Daniel has a proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure feasibility, compliance, and successful delivery of complex projects.
Driven by a desire to expand his professional horizons, Daniel completed an MBA from UBC’s Sauder School of Business. Along with providing exposure to an energetic cohort and developing skills in financial analysis, marketing, negotiations, and corporate strategy, the program also ignited a passion for M&A advisory, leveraging Daniel’s competitive spirit and entrepreneurial mindset.
With a history of entrepreneurship amongst his friends and extended family, Daniel is eager to support businesses at various stages of their journey. Whether it’s facilitating a business sale, guiding a first-time acquisition, or assisting experienced buyers, Daniel is committed to helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals.
A lifelong learner, Daniel is currently working towards a British Columbia commercial real estate license and the IBBA CBI designation. In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending quality time with family, exploring the BC Coast, playing golf, and engaging in home improvement projects.
